Information for Contribution to Wiki

Develop the presentation for intended audience. Include:

o purpose of the presentation

The purpose of this presentation is to show other literacy specialist endorsement colleagues a way that a blog can be useful in their coaching. I wanted to present how to use a blog by using a blog in order to show its ease and benefits of use.

o why the presentation format is suitable to the audience [your colleagues]

The presentation format is suitable to my colleagues because I used a blog to demonstrate a blog's use. I was able to give examples and benefits of how a blog would be useful. I also provided a sample post of how to include links like that of what we would give teachers that we are coaching. And finally, I offered a place where people can comment to the content.

o content that you think is important to communicate

On my first post, I offered information that I think is important to communicate that you can do with a blog.

Technology Websites

****This is a sample of what you can post to share with teachers****

Here are some technology websites that are available for you to use:

flickr - You can upload videos and pictures that are available for others to see.

blogger - Create your own personal web-log that you can share with others.

teachertube - Teacher tube offers short videos on different topics that would be beneficial to use in a classroom

prezi - Similar to powerpoint, this website offers you another presentation tool.

First Post

Blogs can be used for many things!

A blog is a web-log. It can be used as a personal journal, or can be used as a site to share information to others.
In order to share information socially or professionally, a blog is a good thing to have.
  • You are able to post links, movies, pictures, etc. on your blog to share with others.
  • You can post as many times as you want in order to keep your readers up to date.
  • People can subscribe to your blog so that they receive emails indicating you have updated your blog.
  • Readers are also able to leave comments on your blog in regards to your post.
  • Even after you have put up a post on your blog, you are able to go back and edit it.
  • You can create a group blog, where multiple people have site privileges and are able to put posts on the blog to share with others.
